API Delevan Receives Qualification: MIL-PRF-27/367, /368, & /370 Slash Sheets

On May 30, 2007, Walt Wike, API Delevan Senior Principal Engineer, received Notification of Qualification for MIL-T-27 from the Defense Logistics Agency, DSCC (Defense Supply Center, Columbus). MIL-PRF-27 is the Government’s General Specification for Transformers and Inductors (Audio, Power, and High-Power Pulse). This specification covers the general requirements for power transformers, power inductors, audio transformers, audio inductors, high power pulse transformers, charging inductors, saturable transformers and saturable inductors for use in electronic and communication equipment.

Qualification of MIL-PRF-27/367 (API Delevan series MIL4922), /368 (API Delevan series MILP1812), and /370 (API Delevan series MIL8532) was granted as a result of API Delevan’s successful qualification testing in accordance with the MIL-SPEC.

Walt Wike and Joe Browne championed the effort to achieve success in qualifying API Delevan’s surface mount power inductors to a military specification. “This is the latest addition to our comprehensive listing of QPL approvals allowing us to provide more of the products that our customers have told us they need,” said API Delevan General Manager, Jim Bingel. “Our thanks and congratulations go out to Walt and Joe for the many hours that went into the successful completion of this qualification.”
